Famous Gambling Movies



As the stars get involve in the gambling industry, some of us will think that the movie they do is the one who influenced them. Well the statement maybe right but lets put all the blame to the movies. Some of them are natural gamblers and some are just beginners trying to practice in an online casino.

Movie creators started incorporating casinos, poker, blackjack and other games in a movie way back in 1930's. As far as the popularity rating is concern, Casino Royale, another James Bond movie is one of the most popular gambling movie the modern gamblers acknowledge. However there are lots of gambling movies modern gamblers don't know.

A Big Hand for the Little Lady (1966)

A film starring Matt Damon as Mike McDermott. A New York law student who use his poker talent to finance his education.



Croupier (1998)

Jack Manfred a character portrayed by Clive Owen, is a writer who works into a casino as a croupier. The story rounds up in a tension concerning Jack's girlfriend played by Gina McKee when the lead actor gets involve in the gambling world.



High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story (2003)

Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos played the role of Stu Ungar. A legendary poker player of all time who won WSOP tournaments. The movie focuses of Ungar's life as a married man and a gambler.



The Cooler (2003)

William H. Macy portrays the role of Bernie Lootz. The movie tackles the story of Lootz who is not actually a gambler but a man who brings luck into other gamblers.



The Cincinnati Kid (1965)

The character of Eric “The Kid” Stoner, played by Steven McQueen focuses on beating a old professional gambler palyed by Edward G. Robinson. A movie that age so much and cannot be forgotten.



Casino (1995)

A classic movie starring Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci, Don Rickles, and James Woods. A classic film about Sam played by De Niro who is known as “Ace” a casino proprietor.
